Hesterworth is located between the popular tourist towns of Church Stretton and Ludlow. Each of these towns is only a 20 minute drive away. The larger town of Shrewsbury is 40 minutes away. The Heart of Wales train line runs through Broome (a couple of miles away), putting each of these towns within easy reach by train.Wroxeter Roman Village which has been featured in Channel 4's "Rome wasn't built in a day" is within a 45 minute drive of Hesterworth. As part of the TV program a new roman villa has been built at Wroxeter using traditional roman methods.
One of the mascots for the 2012 Olympic games is named Wenlock after the Shropshire town of Much Wenlock. The Wenlock Olympic Games are held each year in this pretty village which is about 40 minutes drive of Hesterworth.
Other local Tourist Attractions include: Ludlow Castle, Stokesay Castle, The Discovery Centre, Mickey Millers Playbarn, Bygones Museum and Acton Scott Working Farm Museum plus much more.
